  1. What did you do this past week?- This past week was spent working on phase II of the website and studying immensely for my artificial intelligence class. My AI class is very difficult, so that caused me a ton of stress. But as soon as that was over, work began on phase II.
  2. What’s in your way?- The only thing in my way is understanding new programs and such for phase II. I am 100% new to the things we have to learn on our own, so it has been difficult. Sometimes I feel like I am a hindrance to my team due to me not knowing much, but I know that they are likely in the same boat. We all just have to try our best and continue to learn. The struggle is a part of the process, which I embrace.
  3. What will you do next week?- Next week, I will finish yet again another project for my artificial intelligence class. I also have an English test, so I will take that as well.
  4. If you read it, what did you think of the Interface Segregation Principle?- This was one of the more interesting articles that I have read. It talked about interfaces and inheritance, and good general practice. I already implement this practice in my code, so it is cool to see that there is an actual principle to it. I enjoyed the reading.
  5. What was your experience of comprehensions, yield, closures, and decorators? (this question will vary, week to week)- At first, these concepts were pretty confusing. Due to the nature of them, you could have a lot of different code that has the same functionality, which made it confusing. But by the end of the week, I started to understand.
  6. What made you happy this week?- Getting the Covid vaccine made me happy. I am grateful for not contracting the virus all of last year and this year, and receiving the vaccine makes me less anxious. Also knowing that more people are getting the vaccine, and the fact that we are beginning to go back to normalcy makes me happy as well.
  7. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?- My tip of the week is rather than trying to understand every detail, understand the logic and concept. This epiphany emerged to me during class. I was trying so hard to focus line after line, and on all the minor things, which confused me and made it hard to learn. However, once taking a step back and only focusing on the major points and the logic behind the techniques, it made it easier to reason out the smaller details.
